Long hyphenated domain names don’t rank well
I have previously tested a website on the domain name Stovin-web-design-Sheffield.co.uk with good links and content but after three years the website just wouldn’t rank. In fact it was buried on page 8 or worse for long keywords in google. It is in my experience that the shorter the domain name the better the performance in search engines.
