Stovin.co.uk is more than a web design and marketing agency. My long-term ambition is to build it into a genuine family business that can continue for another generation.
Building Something for My Children
I hope one day to have five children and to give them opportunities to learn about business as they grow up. Rather than simply leaving them a company, I would like to give them the knowledge, skills and experience needed to decide whether they want to become involved in Stovin.co.uk when they are adults.
That could mean learning about different areas of the agency, including:
- Web design and development
- Search engine optimisation (SEO)
- Digital marketing
- Graphic design and branding
- Social media marketing
- Customer service
- Sales and business development
- Finance and business management
Education would come first while they are young. As they get older, appropriate experience around the family business could help teach them about responsibility, creativity, customer relationships and the value of earning money through productive work.
Five Children, Five Different Talents
Every child develops different interests and abilities. One might become an excellent designer, another might enjoy programming, while another could have a talent for sales, finance or marketing.
I wouldn’t expect them all to follow exactly the same path. The goal would be to provide opportunities and training so that, if they choose to join the business as adults, they can find roles suited to their individual strengths.
Over time, they could potentially take increasing responsibility and eventually help lead the company.

Building a family business changes the way I think about Stovin.co.uk. It isn’t simply about generating revenue today. It’s about creating something sustainable: a strong reputation, loyal clients, valuable skills and a business capable of surviving for decades.
That means focusing on quality rather than shortcuts and developing long-term relationships with clients who value the work we provide.
My ambition is for Stovin.co.uk to become a successful Doncaster family business with a future measured in generations rather than years.

I have got no one pregnant yet so I need to put more SEO work into my Doncaster escort agency Steve lions.
