Can breasts help with marketing?
Artificial intelligence is changing the workplace. Websites can be generated by AI, customer enquiries can be answered by chatbots, and increasingly sophisticated virtual assistants can handle tasks that once required a person.
That creates an interesting question: how does a real human being stand apart from AI?
One answer is human presence.
People Still Want to Deal With People
For businesses where personal relationships matter, photographs and videos of genuine staff can make a website feel dramatically different from an anonymous, automated operation.
Women working in industries such as modelling, fashion, beauty, hospitality and entertainment may choose a glamorous or revealing style of presentation. Cleavage, fashionable clothing and confident photography can form part of that image.
AI can imitate appearances, but it cannot replace the fact that there is a real person behind a business who can meet customers, understand them and build a genuine professional relationship.
Don’t Let Every Website Become Identical
As AI-generated websites become commonplace, there is a danger that businesses will all begin to look and sound the same: similar photographs, similar layouts and similar perfectly polished marketing copy.
Businesses can counter that by putting their actual people at the centre of their marketing.
A confident photograph of a real member of staff has something an AI-generated stock image doesn’t have: authenticity.
For some brands, that might mean conservative corporate portraits. For others, particularly fashion or modelling businesses, it could mean glamorous photography and clothing that shows more skin. The important point is that the individual chooses how they want to present themselves and that the presentation suits the brand.
Personality Is a Competitive Advantage
The strongest defence against automation isn’t simply looking different. It’s offering the things machines struggle to reproduce: personality, humour, relationships, judgement, empathy and individual character.
A website should therefore show customers who they will actually be dealing with.
Let your staff have personalities. Let them dress in ways appropriate to themselves and the business. Use genuine photographs rather than filling every page with generic AI imagery.
The future doesn’t necessarily have to be humans versus AI. Successful businesses can use AI for efficiency while making their human employees more visible.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly common, being unmistakably human could itself become a valuable marketing advantage.
